Le Vasa is located in the heart of Samoan fishing territory. Sport fishing, big game fishing and fly fishing are all available just a short boat ride away from the resort. A large range of fish species can be targeted including Giant Trevally, Wahoo, Masi Masi, Dog Tooth Tuna, Yellow fin Tuna, Marlin and Sailfish, more than enough to wet the appetite of any keen fisherman. Boats are available for chartering at half-day and full-day rates.

If an up close and personal experience of Samoan fishing action is what you are looking for, book our 17-foot centre console. She will get you into spots that big boats can’t go, allowing access to Samoa’s plentiful shallow reefs and lagoons.

Surfing
Samoa like many of the other South Pacific island nations is surrounded by surf able reef and receives very consistent swell. What makes it different from the rest of the pacific is the complete lack of crowds and the opportunity to pioneer your own surf break.
There are many quality breaks in the area that can be accessed by boat or from the land. This is not a place to learn how to surf and a good intermediate level of surfing ability is required the waves are heavy but could very well deliver you the barrel of your life!

Scuba

Discovery Dive
The best way to discover diving is the Discovery Dive which includes two ocean dives and one theory and basic training session in the pool.
PADI Open Water Diver
This is a full PADI certification. You need at least three days to experience this intense adventure.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
You choose from a range of PADI adventure dives such as night dives, naturalist dive, boat dives and more. You will complete one deep water dive and one navigation dive. This course can be free with a package of five or more dives.
Explorer Dives
Please inquire about our Explorer dives, and go where no diver has gone before.
Nitrox Dives
NITROX dives are available.
Snorkelling
We offer basic snorkelling trips to the reef outside our resort, perfect for the beginner or someone just getting back into the swing of things.
We also offer guided snorkelling trips around the island of Upolu and in combination with a trip to Manono right off our coast and points beyond. Take a boat trip through a beautiful turquoise lagoon and snorkel amongst some of the most untouched coral and colourful fish life in the world.
Kayaking
We offer guided trips to the island of Manono as well as many other locations. Snorkelling equipment and lunch are included in each of our guided kayak tours.
You are also welcome to go off on your own to explore some of the areas around the resort and off the coast.
Boat Cruises
Le Vasa has its own licensed boat captain on staff available for hire for private sunset cruises and private snorkeling tours, and for the romantics we offer lunch on a deserted island, just you and your own private beach. Please inquire with the concierge or when making your reservation.
Just for Fun
Le Vasa offers a variety of motorized water sports and non-motorized for the action enthusiast in the pristine environment and dazzling blue waters of Samoa. Most of the activities are accessed right here at the resort and some activities are just a few minutes away.
Book our boat, water ski, knee board, jump on the ski biscuit, or try your hand at a few tricks on the wake board. You will experience a breathtaking ride atop the South Pacific's turquoise lagoons as you challenge yourself with this assortment of these exhilarating activities.
